High Heels, Brownies, Bras, and Markers

Hm, where I've been? It's been a mildly eventful week. No pictures though :(

We'll start with a little news about Tuesday. On Tuesday, I leveled up to "Bronze III" in dance! I felt so nervous that I was sweating and messing up left and right [but not in a bad way, just like, not being showy enough, etc]. But I did it. Then we discussed plans for my future in dancing [lol] and I think there might be a studio up in New London. Let me check now... Well, there's one in Niantic, which is about 15 minutes from New London, the rest in CT are all over an hour away. Not bad, since 15 is what I'm travelling now lol.

Thursday was Kristin's birthday party! I forgot my camera though =( We drove for an hour and a half, only to find that the Jazz in the Park concert we were hoping to attend was cancelled because it might rain. We had our picnic dinner in the park which had a beautiful view of a harbour and boats. I called Vigg, made him sing "On a Boat" to us, but my phone died after less than two minutes. Still, it was amusing, and he's going to murder me tomorrow. So we wandered around and found a pottery place. We painted a big old dish for Kristin and wrote her name on it, and then I painted a dinosaur! So cute ^-^ Then we had dessert - carrot cake, cookies, brownies, yummm - back in the park. Then it was off to home for magical sleep time [offset by many hours of magical manga reading time and magical talking to Will time]. And oh yeah, it never rained.

Today [Friday, I mean] was very exciting. Not really. The evening was fun but the morning was one of those 'worst days ever.' Well, last night I had an awful headache that spread to my neck and shoulders, and even after my usual staying up late and being stupid, it persisted and prevented me from sleeping! It was horrible. When I finally woke up in the morning afternoon, I had to go to the doctor's office to get a shot! I am so scared of needles, and even with the numbing cream I was still sobbing from the pain. I can't control my emotions in the face of the most irrational fears, and tears were flowing like Niagara Falls. Mum brought me for bubble tea after, because it is a magical drink that makes everything go away [only not really, it still hurt a lotttttt ;__;]. After that I just hung out, showered, etc., until 7ish, when I ate dinner and my friends started coming over.

First it was Charlie and Maddi, then Mike, then, all at once, everyone else! We headed to the Florham Park Roller Rink [forgot my camera AGAIN!] and skated for a good two hours, danced [on skates!] to I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, and trolled some kids. Or maybe they trolled us, we really couldn't tell. There were some general Wendy's shenanigans later, too, which, sadly, included leaving Dan alone in a parking lot for a few minutes ><;; Then it was back to my house, where Sara, Dan, Bryan, and I tried to watch Hostel: Part II after the fifteen-inning Yankees game ende and Arianna and Greg left. Hostel: Part II was bad. I love you, Roger Bart, but this movie... omg... I'm usually very good with movie-gore and movie-violence, but I actually almost threw up [all over my poor dog!! v_v] at something we were forced to watch. So it was more watching parts of Hostel and switching between that and Elizabeth, Heaven, Much Ado About Nothing, and other various movies. We gave each other massages - and I might add that the girls, unfairly, gave more than they received in return :( - and then we drew on Dan's back. Go figure. Finally, I needed to go to sleep, so I told the other three that they either had to sleep over or leave then and there [3:30am!!], because I'd have to lock up after them. They left, and here I am, still up, talking to Liam and wondering where my life went.

I should also add that I got an email about trying out for plays in college! There's going to be The Tempest [lol!] and Doubt, and I think I can try out for both of them with a two minute monologue and about sixteen bars of a capella music, just in case. I'm thinking of using "James," a monologue Kris did in sophomore year in Speech & Drama, which I, admittedly, liked a lot better than the one I did myself. I'm still looking for a song. I know it doesn't have to be anything fantastic, but I'm so insecure about my singing ability. Eh. Wish me luck on that, but I'll probably mention it again =]

So I'm going to see Uncle Yo tomorrow! He's performing up in the Village, and I'm forcing Vigg along, which should be fun. I'm pretty excited. There WILL be pictures, and a blog entry tomorrow or Sunday, promise. <-- I shouldn't do that, make promises lol.

  1. Breakskate! They're the America's Got Talent team who danced on skates. I liked them... too bad they got eliminated. (They were from Indiana.) Boredom has given me a chance to get better aquainted with American television.
GOOD LUCK ON PLAY TRYOUTS! YOU CAN DO IT! I'LL BECOME YOUR PERSONAL ONE-WOMAN CHEERLEADING TEAM.
